How to submit a notice
Send copyright notices to legal@orvoro.com, or by mail to Orvoro Marketing Inc., 25 Isherwood Ave, Cambridge, ON N1R 0E2, Canada. A valid notice must identify the claimant and their contact information, the copyrighted work, and the allegedly infringing material and its location (URL), and include a statement of the claimant's good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized. Submitting a notice that knowingly and materially misrepresents a claim may expose the sender to liability.
Canada — Notice-and-Notice
On receiving a notice that complies with section 41.25 of the Copyright Act, we forward it to the affected customer as soon as feasible, tell the claimant whether it was forwarded, and preserve the relevant records for six months (or one year if we are notified in time that proceedings have commenced). We do not automatically disclose customer identity — disclosure requires a court order — and an allegation is not treated as proven infringement.
United States — DMCA
U.S. claimants may submit notices meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to legal@orvoro.com. On receiving a compliant notice we review it, and where appropriate remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the affected customer, who may respond with a counter-notice containing the statutory elements. We maintain a repeat-infringer policy under which accounts that repeatedly infringe may be suspended or terminated.
Counter-notices and repeat infringers
Affected customers may submit a counter-notice to legal@orvoro.com with their contact information, identification of the removed material, and a good-faith statement that it was removed by mistake or misidentification. Accounts subject to repeated, substantiated notices are subject to escalating action up to termination under the Acceptable Use Policy.
