Secure Orvoro Mail and recover your mailbox password

Last updated October 24, 2026

Enable authenticator-based two-factor login

  1. Sign in at Orvoro Mail.
  2. Open Preferences → General and find the authenticator/TOTP option.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  4. Enter its current six-digit code before saving.

Authenticator enrollment protects SOGo web sign-in. IMAP and SMTP clients continue to use your mailbox password.

Add a recovery email address

  1. Open Preferences.
  2. Select recovery by secondary email.
  3. Enter another mailbox you control and save.

Save this setting before relying on Password lost at login.

Recover a forgotten password

Use Password lost on the webmail login page and follow the recovery email instructions. Recovery depends on the secondary address you configured. Login and recovery requests require the login page's verification check.

Change your mailbox password

Use the password-change option in SOGo Preferences. Changes reconcile with mail authentication within a few seconds. Update saved passwords in all your mail apps after changing one.

If an app stops authenticating after a change, allow a few seconds for synchronization and confirm it uses the full email address and new mailbox password.
